Job Description:

This position is an opportunity to escape the mundane, repetitive duties of a traditional asset manager. While some of the responsibilities are similar, the Asset Manager position is centrally focused on providing exceptional customer service while partnering with our clients to achieve and maintain regulatory compliance. It has the independence to work remotely which allows directed focus while still being supported by and immersed in a company that is a leader in the affordable compliance industry and has a company culture of inclusivity, work life balance, and camaraderie. The position allows for and requires for full-time travel through the United States. This position comes fully equipped with tools and resources that will allow success.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct inspections of affordable housing units to ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and quality standards.

2. Evaluate safety, sanitation, and habitability of properties.

3. Collaborate with property owners, tenants, and government agencies.

4. Document findings accurately and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

5. Assist in resolving tenant complaints related to housing conditions.

6. Stay informed about changes in housing laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience as a housing inspector or related field.

2. Knowledge of affordable housing programs and regulations.

3. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

4. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

5. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Other Details:

1. Extensive travel experience preferred

2. 50% travel required

3. Must live near a major airport

4. Involves physical inspection work

5. Involves LIHTC file review work

6. Knowledge of accessibility law and guidelines a plus

7. Knowledge of NSPIRE a plus
