Job Title: Assistant Property Manager

Job Description: Elm Court, a HUD-subsidized affordable rental apartment community for senior and disabled households in Princeton, seeks an enthusiastic assistant property manager to join a dedicated staff and accomplished not for profit housing provider. Successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, the capacity to handle multiple tasks and diversified responsibilities and the ability to interact with residents and staff in a respectful and friendly manner. 

Under the direction of the Property Manager, the Assistant Property Manager:
- Ensures that the property operates in accordance with HUD rules
- Prepares tenant income certifications 
- Ensures that waiting lists, resident files and other documentation complies with all HUD rules and regulations
- Maintains Rent Roll and resident ledgers
- Deposits tenant rent and other payments 
- Monitors and collects resident and HUD balances
- Conducts prospective tenant screening, interviews and move-in processing
- Coordinates move-out inspections and processing, including security deposit refunds
- Handles related miscellaneous and requested tasks as required

Job Requirements: - High school degree; bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in residential leasing or property management of affordable housing 
- Experience with Real Page or other property management software strongly preferred
- Experience with HUD Tenant Income Certifications 
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Ability to develop and maintain electronic and paper files
- Occupations Specialist or other affordable housing certification is a plus
- Second language is a plus, preferably Spanish or Mandarin
