The presentation will center on changes in Fair Housing regulations and enforcement for Section 8 and market rate housing under the new administration and Secretary Carson. One issue will be the future of the Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Rule. Strategies for housing providers to use to insure that they are protected from Fair Housing Complaints as rules change will also be discussed.

Ms. Walrod has had experience in the area of public housing, representing over 15 major low, moderate and senior Housing Projects throughout Hudson and Essex Counties; serving as General Counsel for the Bayonne Housing Authority. In the past, the firm has served as General Counsel for the Union City Housing Authority and as tenancy counsel to the Jersey City Housing Authority. Her firm has worked with HUD assisted buildings throughout the State of New Jersey in both the public, non-profit and private sector.
