| Calendar Contest It is Calendar Art Contest time again! The National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) calendar contest is underway, and we anticipate that more than 5,000 children and elderly/disabled residents nationwide will be participating in the calendar art contest this year. Please note the JAHMA Deadline is Friday, May 16, 2008. The underlying message for the contest will continue to have a drug-free theme. However, a sub-theme has been added to reinforce a more positive use of time and encourage a broader range of submissions. The theme for the 2008 contest is titled, “Dreams and Possibilities” and the sub-theme is “Discover the Magic of Science and Math.” Local contest entries will come from children; seniors (62 years or older) and special needs residents living in JAHMA affiliate member properties. Our AHMA will provide awards to our first place winners in each age category. The three winning entries in each category will be forwarded to NAHMA where a distinguished panel of judges will select the 13 winning entries that will appear inside the pages of the 2009 calendar. The individual with the winning poster for the overall national contest will win a trip to Washington, D.C. Click here to download NAHMA contest rules. Click here to download a JAHMA entry form. With your support, this will be a great contest! I would like to thank you in advance for all you will do to see that the children as well as elderly/disabled and special needs residents at your properties participate in this year’s calendar art contest.
