In Time of Need

Criteria for Approval

All of the following criteria must be met in order for an application to the IN TIME OF NEED furniture distribution program to be approved:

  • A member of the residency site management company must download and complete in its entirety the application form that follows on the JAHMA website.
  • Applications may be submitted for consideration at any time during the calendar year.
  • A narrative statement on letterhead stationery outlining the circumstances that have placed the recommended resident/resident family in need of furniture, the type of furniture needed (i.e., bedroom, kitchen, living room), degree of need and urgency of need must also be included with the application form.
  • The JAHMA Foundation and Thomasville Furniture Galleries anticipate delivering one room of furniture per month to a needy resident or resident family. Further, the JAHMA Foundation and Thomasville Furniture Galleries are unable to anticipate what category of furniture (i.e., bedroom, kitchen living room) might be available in any given month. With this in mind, the program is requesting that residency site management company personnel submit only the names of the most needy residents.
